FORD 2.0 ECOBLUE
The Ford 2.0 EcoBlue engine is found in several Ford vehicles, primarily in the Custom and Ranger models, and is an engine we specialize in. While these engines are prone to timing belt failure, they are repairable. We recommend replacing the timing early, at 60,000 miles or 6 years—whichever comes first—to prevent issues, as the belt starts to delaminate around this mileage. Taking this proactive step can save you on repair costs in the long run.

FRONT COVER REMOVAL
To gain access to the front timing cover, we carefully remove the headlight, airbox and intake pipes, aux belt tensioner as well as the engine mount (Ford Transit FWD). we lock the flywheel with the correct tool and remove the crank pulley. This step is crucial for ensuring a smooth efficient process. By clearing these components, we can effectively reach the timing cover and proceed the necessary work.
TIMING UP THE ENIGINE
Once the front timing cover is removed, we align the engine until all markers are perfectly in place, using cam and crank locking tools to secure it. With the engine locked in the correct position, we proceed to remove the timing belt tensioner and timing belt. While the belt is off, we thoroughly clean the engine face using a degreaser and scraper blade After ensuring the surface is clean, we install a new timing belt tensioner and a new timing belt.

ENGINE SUMP REMOVAL
Once the sump is off, we clean the engine face with degreaser and a scraper blade. Next, we take out the oil pump, oil pump belt, and strainer. If the timing belt is delaminated, we may find debris in the strainer, which we clean out before refitting the strainer, oil pump, and the oil pump belt, followed by installing a new engine sump.
THE LAST BIT!
When we perform a timing belt replacement, we always recommend an oil and filter change. After all, why would you want to put contaminated oil back into your clean engine? When working on Ford vehicles, we strictly adhere to Ford's procedures to ensure every job is done right. Plus, we provide a manufacturer's warranty on all parts for your peace of mind.
